Vallejo Model Color

What color is the Vallejo model?

These "Acrylicos Vallejo" paints are matte opaque acrylic paints, containing most water-based pigments, specially designed for brush applications. The Vallejo model has a very wide range of colors, which includes both basic tones and numerous references developed by experts for use with historical figures and models, including well-known color systems such as RLM and RAL. Among them are many famous camouflage colors with historical or current backgrounds. The range also includes a selection of glazes, transparent and fluorescent colors that can be used to create special effects. "Matte Medium" or "Metallic Medium" within the range can be mixed with any model paint to give the paint a matte or metallic appearance. The color “Smoke” (see VA181 / 70939) has flow properties that allow it to flow into the recesses of a model or miniature to express depth and shadows.

How do I use Vallejo Model Color?

It is recommended to shake the paint before use and drip the paint onto a smooth surface or pick it up with a brush on a wet palette. Next, you need to paint the color onto the previously primed surface. Acrylicos Vallejo offers a range of priming products that can be applied with a brush or airbrush (Vallejo Surface Primer) and a practical spray can (Vallejo Hobby Paint Spray).
The paint comes in a bottle with a screw cap and dropper. Therefore, the paint has little contact with the air and does not dry out. Dropper counters are very useful for readjusting the mixing ratio at any time. After application, the paint dries quickly and forms a homogeneous paint film with self-leveling, suitable for large areas as well as model details. Vallejo model paints (often abbreviated as VMC in forums) have excellent adhesion to resins, plastics, steel, and white metal and are excellent for application on all surfaces. Tools and brushes are washed with water.

What are the special advantages of Vallejo Model Color acrylic paints?

• The paint can be diluted with water at any time.
• Easy to use – popular with professionals and beginners
• The model paint is non-flammable and contains no solvents.
• The paint is odorless and non-toxic.
• The paint dries quickly and is easy to handle
• Bottle with dropper ideal for drying and mixing
• The color palette is huge
• Countless other compatible mixable products from Acrylicos Vallejo available

Vallejo Model Color is known and loved by model builders worldwide, especially in the military sector. Around trade fairs, exhibitions, forums, blogs and other social media channel scenes, there are numerous recommendations and application examples. Also a miniature painter, who is mainly based on matte optics, very good application properties and so many color options both in the historical and increasingly in the fantasy, science fiction and desktop areas. I really appreciate the color series. Model paints are the largest and most important range from Acrylicos Vallejo and the first choice for many model builders worldwide.
