Thranduil, the ruler of Mirkwood, is a wise but proud king who cares little for what happens beyond his borders. He journeys to Erebor to reclaim the white gems of Lasgalen, which lie within the mountain. These gems he desires above all else, to remember his deceased wife. When his attempt to exchange the Arkenstone for these gems fails, Thranduil prepares an attack on Erebor. However, the arrival of Azog's armies stifles the feud between Elves and Dwarves, and Thranduil prepares for a battle he had not expected.

As King of Mirkwood, Thranduil is the greatest of the heroes from the Thranduil's Halls army list. He can ride into battle mounted or on foot alongside his Wood Elves. He is armed with a masterfully crafted Elven sword.

This set contains three resin miniatures – Thranduil in armour (on foot and mounted) and Thranduil, unarmoured – they come with 2 Citadel Round Bases (25mm) and 1 Citadel Round Base (40mm). His rules can be found in Armies of The Hobbit™.
