In the eve of battle, the Black Templars gather, their Champions standing before them in prayer and reflection. United in their hatred of the foe, they swear a mighty oath to uphold in the coming battle. Plagued by visions of great purpose, it falls to Vedren, the Emperor’s Champion, to ensure his brethren do not break this vow.
If you wish to zealously spread the God-Emperor’s creed, this box is the perfect way to start a new Black Templars collection – or expand an existing army – and save money compared to buying the kits individually. A mighty Emperor’s Champion, capable of cutting down any foe with his Black Sword, leads the force. He is followed into the heart of battle by a squad of Bladeguard Veterans, while a seasoned Sword Brethren squad provides mighty close-range support. The army is rounded out by a Crusader Squad – an ideal unit for capturing objectives. These 19 plastic miniatures make up a complete Combat Patrol of Vedren's Oathsworn, ready to be used in thrilling, tactical games of Warhammer 40,000. This box contains 19 multipart plastic Black Templars miniatures:
– 1x Emperor's Champion
– 3x Bladeguard Veterans
– 5x Sword Brethren
– 10x Crusader Squad
The miniatures in this box can be easily customised. Bladeguard Veterans can be equipped with a heavy bolt pistol and sword, a heavy bolt pistol and shield, or a sword and shield. The Veteran Sergeant can choose between a heavy bolt pistol, plasma pistol, or Neo-volkite pistol. The heads, arms, and shield plates are interchangeable within the squad.
The elite Sword Brethren are armed with a bolt pistol and chainsword or a master-crafted power weapon. One member of the squad can be equipped with a thunder hammer, one with a plasma pistol, two with inferno pistols, and one with a pair of lightning claws. You can also build an optional Castellan, carrying a bolt pistol or combi-weapon and a chainsword or a master-crafted power weapon. The backpacks, backpack finials, shoulder pads, shield plates, and heads are interchangeable between the miniatures.
The Crusader Squad includes four Neophytes armed with Neophyte shotguns or bolt pistols and chainswords. The six Initiates can be armed with a bolt rifle or a bolt pistol and chainsword. Two can carry an infernus heavy bolter and two a bolt pistol and power fist. One of the Initiates can be built as an optional Sword Brother, carrying a master-crafted power weapon and a bolt pistol or an inferno pistol. The heads and shoulder pads are interchangeable among the Initiates, and they also have optional purity seals, shield plates, and relics.
This kit comprises 468 plastic components, 10x Citadel 40mm Round Bases, 4x Citadel 28mm Round Bases, 6x Citadel 32mm Round Bases, and 2x Black Templars Transfer Sheets, each with 240 high-quality waterslide transfers to decorate your miniatures.
These miniatures are supplied unpainted and require assembly – we recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel Colour paints.
