Tactical Squads are the backbone of the Space Marine Legions, the force that reclaimed much of the galaxy during the Great Crusade. A highly flexible unit, equally efficient on the offensive or defensive, they can be tasked with storming defences, seizing and holding strategic objectives, and fighting reliably in any theatre and any situation.

At its original conception, the Mark II 'Crusade' pattern of power armour was a masterpiece of Space Marine engineering. A fully environmentally sealed, radiation-proof suit of combat armour that could absorb more punishment than any previous design, it would see extensive use throughout the Horus Heresy, despite its age.

This multipart plastic kit builds 20 Space Marine Legionaries, which can be fielded as a Tactical Squad in Warhammer: The Horus Heresy. They are ideal for holding key objectives, gunning down foes with volleys from their bolters, and shoring up the front lines to secure victory in battle.

This kit can build either one large squad or two smaller squads of 10 warriors, both of which can be given their own optional Sergeant, Nuncio-Vox, and Vexilla Bearer. The Sergeant can be built with a choice of three heads, two bare and one helmeted with a transverse crest, and can be armed with either a bolter or a plasma pistol and a power sword, power fist, or lightning claw. They can also optionally have a melta bomb. The bolter-armed Legionaries can optionally be equipped with bayonets or chain bayonets, and the heads and accessories (such as grenades, pistol holsters, and pouches) can be swapped between the miniatures.

These miniatures can also represent the following units:
– Veteran Tactical Squad
– Support Squad (with Special Weapons Upgrade Set, sold separately)
– Heavy Support Squad (with Heavy Weapons Upgrade Set, sold separately)
– Praetor Command Squad or Centurion Command Squad (with Legion Command Upgrade Set, sold separately)
– Despoiler Squad (with Melee Weapons Upgrade Set, sold separately)

These miniatures do not have any Legion-specific markings, allowing them to be painted to match any of the Space Marine Legions, whether loyalist or traitor.

This kit comprises 344 plastic components, 20x Citadel 32mm Round Bases, and 1x Legiones Astartes Infantry Transfer Sheet, which contains 618 high-quality waterslide transfers (including iconography for the Sons of Horus, Imperial Fists, Iron Warriors, and Salamanders) to further customise your miniatures.

These miniatures are supplied unpainted and require assembly – we recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel Colour paints.
