The Ultramarines are in many ways the archetypal Space Marine Chapter. Their mighty Primarch, Roboute Guilliman, wrote the Codex Astartes, a tome which provides the foundational tactics, heraldry, and battle doctrine that most Chapters of the Adeptus Astartes follow. In battle, they utilise every resource available, deploying specialist units to accomplish their missions with discipline and efficiency.
If you want to defend the Imperium, strictly by the book, this box is a great way to start a new Ultramarines collection or add to an existing army, saving you money compared to buying the models separately. The army is led by Chief Librarian Tigurius, the Chapter’s most powerful psyker and a versatile warrior who excels in any situation. A unit of Bladeguard Veterans act as his personal guard. Aggressors provide fire support and are not afraid to engage the enemy in close combat. A squad of highly mobile Infiltrators are particularly adept at capturing exposed objectives and disrupting enemy units. The Intercessor Squad forms your line troops, who can fill any gaps and support you with their firepower while holding important objectives. These 17 plastic miniatures represent a complete force of Ultramarines for small, tactical Combat Patrol games for Warhammer 40,000. This set allows you to build 17 multi-part plastic Ultramarine miniatures:
– 1x Chief Librarian Tigurius
– 3x Aggressor Squad miniatures
– 3x Bladeguard Squad miniatures
– 5x Infiltrator Squad miniatures
– 1x Ultramarines Upgrade Sprue
The miniatures in this set are easy to customise thanks to the new Ultramarines upgrade sprue with 69 parts, including shoulder pads, heads, holsters, weapons and more.
The Aggressors can be equipped with flamestorm gauntlets or boltstorm gauntlets, both with integrated power fists. Parts for an optional Sergeant are also included.
The Bladeguard Veterans have interchangeable heavy bolt pistols, swords, heads, shoulder pads and shields that they can either hold in their hands or wear on their backs. Parts for an optional Sergeant are included, who can be armed with either a neovolkit pistol or plasma pistol.
The Infiltrators can each be equipped with a bolt carbine or a special bolt pistol and a combat knife. Each squad member can also receive an optional Infiltrator grav-chute and grappling hook launchers are also included in the set. Each Infiltrator can wear a full helmet or an open helmet. Parts for an optional Sergeant are included, who can also be built without a helmet.
The Intercessors have narrative options, including a Space Marine reloading and another ready to strike with his combat knife. Cosmetic options are also included, such as interchangeable heads, shoulder pads, pouches, holsters, purity seals and more.
The kit includes a brand new Ultramarines transfer sheet with 255 high-quality, water-slide transfers. These include Ultramarines Chapter symbols, battlefield role symbols, campaign badges, numerals and honour marks, as well as larger decals for vehicles.
This kit comprises 520 plastic components, 10 Citadel 32mm Round Bases, and 7 Citadel 40mm Round Bases. These miniatures are supplied unpainted and require assembly – we recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel Colour paints.
