For ideal results, it is recommended to use a white, gray, or generally light primer. The paint creates bright areas on the raised parts, saturated mid-tones, and intense shadows in the recesses of the figure. XPRESS COLOR paints are very versatile and can be applied over any paint in the range. They create subtle shading and contouring effects, acting as glazes or filters. Transitions between shades can be blended very well. All XPRESS COLOR paints can be mixed with each other or thinned with Xpress Thinner Medium to modify existing shades or create new ones.
