The Kroot are dedicated to the T'au Empire, but often form their own hunting parties, far ahead of the main forces. They carry unique weapons of their culture, combine their preferred tactics with advanced technology, and provide the T'au with a contingent of close-combat specialists. Kroot is a general term for a variety of creatures, including everything from the muscular Krootox beast to agile Kroot Hounds.

This packed box is the perfect way to start a Kroot-themed T'au Empire collection – or expand an existing army – and save money compared to buying the miniatures separately. The army is led from the front by a Kroot Lone-spear riding a lizard-like Kalamandra. Behind him, Krootox Rampagers, an elite close-combat line-breaking unit, charge. The core of the force is a Carnivore Squad, deadly hunters and versatile warriors who can capture and hold key objectives. The force is supported by a Krootox Rider, armed with a heavy weapon. These 17 multi-part plastic miniatures represent a complete T'au Empire force for exciting, tactical Combat Patrol games in Warhammer 40,000. From this set you can build 17 multi-part plastic miniatures of the T’au Empire:
– 1x Kroot Lone-spear
– 1x Krootox Rider
– 3x Krootox Rampagers
– 12x Kroot Carnivores

The miniatures in this box are easy to customise. The Kroot Lone-spear can target prey from a distance with a large Kroot rifle or take out key targets up close with an explosive blast spear and a quiver full of sharp hunting spears. For the Lone-spear, you have two heads to choose from, as well as two head options and two poses for its Kalamandra.

The Krootox Rider carries one of two heavy weapons into battle – either a fast-firing repeating cannon or a bolt cannon. For the Krootox and its rider, you can choose from two heads each.

On a Krootox Rampager, you can choose from two heads each for the rider and mount, and the rider can be armed with a pistol or a blade. Another rider can choose a blade or an axe.

The Kroot Carnivores are a versatile kit. The Deathdealer leader can carry a Carnivore firearm or a T'au tech-rifle. Six of the Carnivores can choose from two different firearms and one can optionally be equipped for close combat, one can receive a Pech'ra, and another can wield a Dvorgite flayer or a Londaxi tribalist. There are 13 interchangeable heads, 13 optional accessories, and the two Kroot Hound heads are interchangeable.

This kit consists of 297 plastic parts, 1 Citadel oval base (90mm x 52.5mm), 1 Citadel round base (32mm), 4 Citadel round bases (50mm), and 11 Citadel round bases (28.5mm). These miniatures need to be assembled and are unpainted – we recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel Colour paints.
