A Troops choice for the Adeptus Mechanicus

One of the many specialised castes of cyborg warriors available to the Adeptus Mechanicus, the Pteraxii are optimised for swift response and agility. Pteraxii reflexes are honed by excising their cognitive functions in areas that hinder their primary function. They are also implanted with an additional pair of limb stumps – the scapuli superior – which are connected to a thruster-powered flight pack and reactive wings. Their flight packs become a part of the Pteraxii, who perform various roles. Skystalkers seek out optimal vantage points from which to bring down their targets – be they isolated enemy units or rampaging cyber-familiars and servo-cherubim – with a flurry of razor-sharp flechettes.

Pteraxii Skystalkers are armed with flechette carbines, allowing them to unleash a devastating hail of solid shot on their enemies from a safe distance. The unit's Alpha, however, is armed with a flechette blaster and a taser goad. They provide excellent additional firepower against infantry, but are also equipped with holsters for grenades, which they can drop on the enemy as they rise into the air.

This kit can alternatively be used to build a unit of Pteraxii Sterylizors, which means you'll have plenty of spare parts left over to use when converting your collection.

The kit contains 115 plastic components and comes with 5 Citadel 40mm Round bases and flying stems. An Adeptus Mechanicus transfer sheet is also included.
