Grim, unyielding, fanatically devoted to the Imperium: The soldiers of the Death Korps of Krieg specialise in fighting in the most terrible conditions and are known for waging unyielding wars of attrition. They are also willing to sacrifice countless lives to achieve victory. Their recruits are tested, selected and relentlessly drilled for their future role in the Death Korps almost from birth.
This set is ideal for starting a new Death Korps of Krieg collection or expanding an existing Warhammer 40,000 army, while saving money compared to buying the kits individually. This army is led by a Command Squad, commanded by an intimidating Lord Commissar. The main bulk of this force is provided by the infantry of the flexible Death Korps of Krieg, enough to control the entire battlefield. They are supported by a specialised unit of Combat Engineers of Krieg and a pair of impressive Artillery Teams, who can unleash deadly salvos against your enemies.
This set contains the following 35 multi-part plastic Astra Militarum miniatures:
– 7x Krieg Command Squad miniatures
– 2x Artillery Teams
– 5x Combat Engineers of Krieg, plus 1x Remote Mine marker
– 20x Death Korps of Krieg Troopers
The miniatures in this kit can be easily customised. The Lord Commissar from the Command Squad can be built with either a plasma pistol or a whip and a power fist or a sheathed power sword and a pointing hand. One of the Veterans in the unit can be equipped with either a laspistol, bolt pistol, or plasma pistol and a chainsword, power weapon, or trench club. Another Veteran can be equipped with a bolter, plasma gun, melta, or grenade launcher, with two options for backpack accessories in the form of grenades or ammunition for the grenade launcher. The remaining Veterans are equipped with the Regimental Standard, a high-power Vox-caster, and alchemical anti-toxins, respectively. There is also a wide selection of cosmetic additional options, such as shovels, that you can give your miniatures.
The Artillery Teams can be built with heavy mortars, siege guns, heavy quad launchers, or multiple rocket launchers. The team can also be built with a wide selection of cosmetic options and accessories.
The Combat Engineers of Krieg can each be built with a storm shotgun or a submachine gun and a trench club. Alternatively, one of them can be built with a flamer and another with a remote mine detonator. One of the Engineers can be built as a Watchmaster, who can be built with a bolt pistol, submachine gun, plasma pistol, flamer, or storm shotgun and a chainsword, power weapon, trench club, or grenade.
Up to two Death Korps of Krieg Troopers can be built as Watchmasters, each of whom can be built with a plasma pistol, laspistol, or bolt pistol and a chainsword or power weapon. Up to two Troopers can each be built with a sniper lasgun, two of them can be equipped with a grenade launcher, two with a flamer, two with a melta, or a plasma gun. The Vox-casters can each be built with either binoculars or a grenade in the left hand and up to two miniatures can be built with medic equipment. There are also numerous cosmetic options with which you can further customise your miniatures, including bayonets, pickaxes, belt pouches, grenades, and more.
This set also contains a Death Korps of Krieg transfer sheet with 803 high-quality waterslide transfers, which you can use to decorate your miniatures. You will find insignia for infantry, vehicles, and artillery, squad and regimental numbers, Krieg letters, and minefield markers.
This kit comprises 486 plastic components, 2 Citadel Round Bases (130mm), 1 Citadel Round Base (40mm), 1 Citadel Round Base (32mm), and 31 Citadel Round Bases (25mm). These miniatures are unpainted and require assembly – we recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel Colour paints.
