The Thunderbolt is a heavy fighter, combining devastating attack potential with high speed and manoeuvrability, forming the core of the Imperial Armada of intra-atmospheric combat aircraft. While the Thunderbolt’s primary role is air superiority, its most famous characteristic is sheer resilience – it is not uncommon for a Thunderbolt to return to base having taken damage that would have downed a lesser aircraft.

If air superiority is your goal, Thunderbolt Fighters are the answer. These versatile aircraft are armed with twin lascannons to decimate enemy armour columns, as well as quad autocannons or avenger bolt cannons to tear apart enemy flyers and ground targets.

These models can also be used in games of Aeronautica Imperialis by mounting them on separately available Aeronautica Imperialis bases.

This set includes:

- 4x plastic multi-part Thunderbolt Fighter miniatures (Any of these miniatures can be built with avenger bolt cannons instead of quad autocannons. This kit also includes a choice of hellstrike missiles, skystrike missiles, and wing bombs to adorn your miniatures.)
- 4x Legions Imperialis (40mm) round flying bases with ball socket flight stems
- 1x Thunderbolt transfer sheet

These miniatures are supplied unpainted and require assembly – we recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel Colour paints.
