Having been bequeathed the Ring by his uncle Bilbo, Frodo sets off on the perilous journey to take it to Rivendell – only to find himself tasked with the gargantuan task of taking the Ring to Mordor and the fires of Mount Doom. Whilst certainly no fearsome warrior, Frodo proves his worth, showing that the smallest of creatures can indeed change the course of history.

Before setting out with the Fellowship, Sam was a gardener, happy in his simple life. When the time came, however, Sam proved fiercely loyal to Frodo, overcoming seemingly insurmountable obstacles to aid his companion in his struggle with the Ring. Indeed, without Sam, Frodo likely wouldn’t have made it very far at all…

The corrupted creature known as Gollum has two very distinct personalities which are in constant war within the creature’s mind. The kindness and belief shown to him by Frodo allows Sméagol to push the evil Gollum into the background, seemingly becoming trustworthy – for a time, at least…

The actions of these three most pivotal characters in the One Ring's journey to Mordor, Frodo, Sam, and Sméagol, affected the fates of many. These three miniatures depict them nearing the end of Frodo's journey, as exhaustion and the mental weight of such a burden have begun to take their toll.
