Whilst many of the Elves of Eriador moved to live in one of the many Havens, Gildor Inglorion chose to make his home in the wilds of the North. With these lands no longer the safe havens they once were, Gildor has made it his purpose to keep a watchful eye on travellers in these lands to guide them to safety. Indeed, Gildor's gifts are well suited to this task – he and his kinsmen are light of foot and swift enough to keep pace with a horse for short distances.

Glorfindel is unquestionably the greatest warrior living in Rivendell. His skill and swiftness with a blade are unmatched by any Elf in the Third Age, Lord Elrond included. Even the dreaded Nazgûl recoil from the mighty Elven lord, not daring to face him openly, challenging him only when all nine are united under the Witch-king's command.

Frodo and his Hobbit companions encountered both of these Elven heroes on their journey to Rivendell. Glorfindel rode Asfaloth from the Last Homely House to help Aragorn guide the Hobbits to safety, therefore he is depicted in light travelling clothes rather than full armour.

The set contains three metal miniatures – Glorfindel on foot and mounted, supplied with one Citadel 25mm Round Base and one Citadel 40mm Round Base, and Gildor, supplied with one Citadel 25mm Round Base. Their rules can be found in Armies of The Lord of the Rings™.
