Sky-lanterns are wonders of Cathayan ingenuity, employed by the armies of the Celestial Dragon to observe enemies from the air and direct ground troops in battle. Suspended beneath the lantern is an armoured gondola, from which one of Grand Cathay's many Magistrates can signal troops with fans and banners, or direct the fire of the army's war machines. Should enemy fliers or ranged troops get too close, the crew will fire crane cannons from their superior firing position.

This multipart plastic kit builds an impressive Sky-lantern, an unusual war machine for your Grand Cathay armies in games of Warhammer: The Old World. The floating gondolas can be equipped for various battlefield roles, from flying artillery to bombardment platforms. The kit includes parts for a Magistrate who can ride in the Sky-lantern or walk on foot. The crew can be equipped with crane cannons, iron hail guns, black powder or dragon fire bombs. Regardless of its equipment, this miniature is effective on the battlefield and a showpiece for your collection.

The kit consists of 128 plastic parts, 1x Citadel square base (100 mm), 1x Citadel square base (25 mm), 1x large Citadel flying stand and 1x Sky-lantern decal sheet with 115 high-quality waterslide decals for your miniatures.

The miniature is unpainted and requires assembly – we recommend Citadel plastic glue and Citadel Colour paints.
