Biovores are living artillery pieces, swollen with a clutch of explosive Spore Mines that they gestate in their bodies. Once a Biovore has anchored itself to the ground with chitinous spurs, violent convulsions wrack its body, launching its deadly progeny in high arcs as living munitions. From there, the gas-filled Spore Mines detonate in a shower of bone splinters and acid, or drift lethargically across the battlefield to explode when prey approaches.

This multipart plastic kit builds one Biovore – a sentient Tyranid mortar – plus three drifting Spore Mines. The Biovore's ponderous form features a symbiotic launcher upon its back, its spore sac bulging with biological explosives waiting to be fired. The Spore Mines can be launched onto the battlefield by the Biovore, or simply rain down from the skies. The kit offers several alternative leg poses and base-scenery elements for the Biovore, plus three distinctive Spore Mine designs, allowing you to add variety to your brood if you’re building a whole battery of artillery beasts.

The Biovore in this kit can alternatively be built as a Pyrovore, a fire-spewing Tyranid creature.

This kit comprises 37 plastic components, and comes with a Citadel 80mm Round Base and three Citadel 25mm Round Bases. These miniatures are supplied unpainted and require assembly – we recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel Colour paints.
